Banksy on Simpsons

I don’t know how this even aired, but I definitely approve. The social commentary of Banksy made its way into the most recent intro to the Simpsons.

Lake of the Angels

Posted in Art at 1:49 am by Administrator

Went on a hiking trip a few weeks ago, to the lake of the angels in the Olympic National Park. It was me, my Dad, my older brother, and 150 pounds of pots, pans, clothing, camera gear, and fly fishing equipment. The relentless 3500 foot elevation gain made the 3.5 mile hike a long one, but the view was fantastic. It was definitely one of the highlights of my summer. Here are some shots.

Life During Wartime

Posted in Art at 9:37 pm by Administrator

I recently saw Todd Solendz latest film “Life During Wartime”, the long awaited sequel to “Happiness”. I would have to say that apart from the terrific dialogue, and rich character development, the thing that stood out most to me were the visuals. His use of color was terrific. He’s definitely a film maker who will be appreciated and respected long after he’s gone.

Mash Out - Rumfasta IPA

My posts came to a stop at the start of summer, partly because of nothing to write about, partly due to a constant and unrelenting work schedule. I have still managed to devote my sundays to brewing 2 batches of beer a week, and shoot a couple of rolls of film. Sometimes the 2 have to overlap. I have the IPA down pat, and am getting the hang of Hefeweizen(making, not spelling). Looking forward to a couple days off to catch up on things. Here are a couple shots from my latest roll of ektar run through my canon FL-QL. Click below to see the rest of the shots.
